I always want to work in the fashion industry, I just thought that the only way was to be a model or designer. Until in a community college class about college life I learn how there more job in the industry and different routes. That when I explore about and change my major and stated my apparel merchandising journey.

One of my favorite classes to take at SFSU was the product development class. I feel that it really showed what skills are need as a merchandiser. I as well enjoyed creating spreadsheet and a clothing concept.

I learn that there is more to fashion than the clothes and sales. There is a whole production from textiles to the final product being in hands of the shopper.

I think that in the next five year the fashion industry will be bring more sustainable textile. Such having any textile be plant base which would incredible to have.
