My Story

My favorite class at SFSU would have to be ADM 561 which is culture and historical costume because i got to learn about how people in different time dressed. It was also cool to see how the way people dressed had meaning in different cultures and times. I was unaware of how clothing was a status symbol even back then.

One of my proudest moments in my time in merchandising was taking any class that was hands on. I’m not a very hands on person but I had to be in some of the classes for adm. I also think that learning how to express my creativity and work with different programs like photoshop and drawing apps was a proud moment for me.

After graduation I plan on moving to San Diego for a while. I got a job in merchandising in San Diego so my plan is to work and gain experience and see where that takes me.

I think someone I look up to in the industry would be Alexander McQueen because he really took his time to move up in the fashion industry and I think his designs were works of art. His fall/ winter 2009 show is my favorite.
